Neurology Recruitment

The Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto recruits Stroke Neurologists to join our team of stroke experts. The successful candidate will provide clinical care to stroke and general neurology patients. This unique opportunity will also allow for contribution to the regional and national stroke neurology community alongside our neurologists, through participation in a variety of initiatives. This candidate should be eligible to hold a full-time academic appointment as a clinician-teacher or clinician-investigator at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.

The UTSP is a collaboration of stroke experts in the University of Toronto focused on the best clinical practices, stroke education and research. Our team oversees a variety of projects that cover the three regional stroke centers and range from system-based quality improvement initiatives to diagnostic and treatment studies. Each stroke program includes a strong interdisciplinary team and experts that lead the way in best clinical practice and world-wide research. The UTSP encourages the uptake of shared/city-wide clinical and research protocols, the development of best practices and consensus statements, and other opportunities for collaboration between these centers and the University. The ability to work on these initiatives, in the company of these experts, to contribute to the regional and National stroke Neurology community, with the support of the Program behind you, is what makes this position so attractive and unique.

Interested applicants must hold an MD or equivalent, be eligible for licensure to practice medicine as a Neurologist in Ontario and have a fellowship in the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
