The Intracranial Arterial Wall Imaging Collaborative— ICAWIC for short—is a network of institutions across North America that seek to accelerate the development and implementation of high-resolution MR intracranial arterial vessel wall imaging protocols. ICAWIC serves as an avenue for vascular neurologists, neuroradiologists and MR physicists to discuss and solve common imaging issues together.

The main goals of this collaborative are:

  • To facilitate more rapid implementation of solutions to wall imaging
  • To develop multi-center collaborations
  • To determine the clinical utility of emerging technology
